12.30 Taman Negara is Malaysia’s largest national park and one of the oldest tropical forests in the world, more than 130 million years old. Even the glacial flood could not destroy this place, located at the very equator.
Before the Jurassic period, the entire Malacca (Melaka) Peninsula was submerged under water. As a result, sedimentary rock and limestone formed the fertile base of Taman Negara’s forests, as well as the interesting system of caves located within this national park. Most visitors do not even get close to the depths of the jungle, limiting themselves to only a superficial examination of this miracle. It is a real delight to visit the oldest jungle in the world, touch and feel its energy and atmosphere.

At 530 meters, the suspension bridges in Taman Negara are the longest in the world. They were created with the aim of studying the unique flora and fauna of tropical forests. A walk along the suspension bridges, which are located among the treetops at an altitude of 50 m from the ground, which will charge you with adrenaline and lift your spirits.

17.00 departure on an excursion to the local residents – Orang Asli.
The Orang Asli are considered the indigenous and very first inhabitants of Malaysia, they belong to the Negrito group, whose burials date back 10 thousand years. The Orang Asli live in compact settlements of 10-30 people and engage in gathering and hunting in harmony with the local nature. Having exhausted the reserves of one section of the jungle, they move to another, giving nature the opportunity to recover. Thus, the Orang Asli lead a semi-nomadic lifestyle.
The people of this tribe believe that only animals living above the ground are suitable for consumption. They hunt squirrels, birds and monkeys. For hunting they use bows and arrows and blowguns with poisonous darts. They also supplement their diet with fish and fruits.

09.30 cruise on the Tahan River.
The main transport artery of Taman Negara is the Tembeling River and its tributaries Tahan, Trenggan and Kinyam. People travel here on special wooden river boats called Perahu – this means of transportation is several hundred years old. People lived along this river 2000 years ago.
