Tour programme

Day 1Arrival at the park, night walk through the jungle

07.30 Meet your guide at the lobby of the Istana Kuala Lumpur hotel.

Before the Jurassic period, the entire Malacca (Melaka) Peninsula was submerged under water. As a result, sedimentary rock and limestone formed the fertile base of Taman Negara’s forests, as well as the interesting system of caves located within this national park. Most visitors do not even get close to the depths of the jungle, limiting themselves to only a superficial examination of this miracle. It is a real delight to visit the oldest jungle in the world, touch and feel its energy and atmosphere.

The Orang Asli are considered the indigenous and very first inhabitants of Malaysia, they belong to the Negrito group, whose burials date back 10 thousand years. The Orang Asli live in compact settlements of 10-30 people and engage in gathering and hunting in harmony with the local nature. Having exhausted the reserves of one section of the jungle, they move to another, giving nature the opportunity to recover. Thus, the Orang Asli lead a semi-nomadic lifestyle.
The people of this tribe believe that only animals living above the ground are suitable for consumption. They hunt squirrels, birds and monkeys. For hunting they use bows and arrows and blowguns with poisonous darts. They also supplement their diet with fish and fruits.
