Animal feeding:

  • 10:30 un 17:00 – show with marine animals

Length of the show: 20 minutes 

 

 

Things to consider:

  • food for feeding the animals must be purchased at the zoo;
  • food reserves are limited, so it is advised to arrive 15 minutes before the animal feeding; 
  • arrive 15 minutes before the show starts to get the best seats;
  • during the marine shows, remember that sitting close to the pool can get your clothes wet; 
  • in order not to scare the animals during the show, it is better to turn off the flash when recording;
  • after the show, you will get an opportunity to take pictures with the animals;
  • If you buy the tickets online, the entrance fee is slightly cheaper.

Programme itinerary

Meeting with the guide in the hotel lobby. Departure to the Singapore Zoo, one of the best in the world. More than 2,000 different animals can be seen here, including those on the verge of extinction, such as the Malayan tiger, the golden lion tamarin, cheetahs and sea lions.

Singapore Zoo is built as an open zoo without fences and cages. The complete safety of visitors is ensured by natural barriers: ditches with water, very deep ditches, dry branches and logs. Such conditions create comfort for animals and the opportunity for visitors to observe them in their natural environment.

In order to get food, animals have to “work”, it maintains their natural instincts. For example, orangutans and sun bears have to struggle to get portions of milk or honey that are suspended in special feeders. Polar bears need to swim well to catch live fish for lunch, but chimpanzees need to use ingenuity to crack open a walnut shell using, for example, a rock.

The zoo has different sectors dedicated to different animals such as ‘Treetop Trails’, ‘Wild Africa’, ‘Animals of the Underwater World’, ‘Primates’, ‘Great Reef Valley’, ‘Reptile Garden’, ‘Cat Family’. The “Fragile Forest” sector offers a trip to the tropical forest, where there are many flying butterflies, a waterfall, huge trees, ferns and many different animals, such as monkeys, mouse deer, white and black lemurs, colorful parrots, koalas, fruit bats.
