The Bornean Vanda Travel company was founded in 2012. The office of the travel company is located in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the state of Sabah, which is located on the island of Borneo.
The company is registered in Malaysia, its existence can be checked on the state’s official tourism website: Sabah Tourism
Currently, Bornean Vanda Travel is the only licensed travel company in Borneo, whose employees speak Russian, Latvian and English.
We provide tourist services for both groups and individual travelers from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia and other Eastern European countries, as well as from Australia, Singapore, Great Britain and other countries.

Tourism company Borneo Vanda Travel actively cooperates with the Ministry of Tourism of Malaysia and the Ministry of Tourism of the state of Sabah in the implementation of joint projects.
We are tourism experts in the island of Borneo (both Malaysian Borneo and Indonesian Kalimantan), West Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore. We will help organize day tours, transit or full tour program, as well as flights, transfers and hotel reservation.
Inga Vonga – Director
I was born in Riga. I have been living on the island of Borneo since 2004. I have been working in tourism since 2009. My first work experience in this field was organizing the official visit of the state tourism minister and the mayor of Vladivostok. I am constantly traveling around Asia, creating new and interesting routes for both backpackers and comfort lovers. One of the latter is the newly developed route in Bario, surrounded by pristine nature and untouched by civilization. When leading tours, I try to make guests fall in love with these wonderful places, the varied nature filled with sun and warmth, just like I do.
Irina Poplauhina – Director
I was born in Siberia. I have lived in Malaysia since 1998 and since 2001 I have been working in the field of tourism. I am currently enjoying life in one of the most beautiful places in the world – on the island of Borneo. My love for nature and culture attracted me to this work. I like that the guests are happy and satisfied with their trip, so I do my job 100 percent.
The company’s name is associated with the gorgeous orchid wand that grows on the island of Borneo, West Malaysia and Singapore. This orchid is a natural hybrid discovered in her garden in Singapore by Agnes Joachim, a scientist and gardener from Armenia, in 1893. It was this flower that Singapore chose as its national flower in 1981.
