Tour programme

08:00 Meeting in the hotel lobby with a guide. Departure to the ethnic village of Monsopiad. On the way, as well as upon arrival in the village, you will be familiarized with the rules of conduct in the ethnic village.

The ethnic village is dedicated to a powerful and feared Kadazan warrior named Monsopiad, who lived about 200 years ago. Interestingly, the village is ruled by the direct descendants of Monsopiad, and is located in the very place where the legendary warrior lived.

08:45 Arrival in the village. In the village, the process of preparing the most popular authentic dishes of the traditional kitchen of Sabah will be demonstrated.

The hospitable hosts of the village will teach you step by step the art of programming the dishes of the Kadazandusun tribe. If you wish, you can also take part in cooking.

09:00 The first master class on cooking Pinasakan is fish cooked using various seeds and spices.

10:00 The second masterclass on cooking Hinava is a raw fish dish very similar to ceviche in Peru. The dish is also prepared using red pepper, ginger, shallots, various seeds and spices, as well as a lime marinade.

11:00 After the first two workshops, you will be invited to an entertainment show with local dances and games.

11:30 The third master class on cooking Linopot is rice cooked in a special way and also beautifully packaged and wrapped in a large leaf.

12:30 After preparing the dishes, you will be invited to enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by your own hands.

13:00 Transfer to the hotel. The end of the tour.
